Another happy customer! The built-in beak shelf peak storage really turned out to be a good solution. I know I'll get my use out it.

Good man! I saw that in the same section and it's one of the hammocks I tested out. That 1.3 black fabric looks great and feels nice. Enjoy your new Voyageur and post some pics and thoughts about it. The built in beak-peak storage is pretty cool and very functional. Plus, its just sewn in so there's no extra hardware or clips to deal with. Enjoy.

Nice looking hammock, I'm building a purpose-specific winter hammock with spare bits of fabric and testing out a few ideas at the same time.

The peak pockets intrigue me, curious how much they shift/roll to the side when you lay asym, and does anything spill out?
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

No issues with spilling out anything. The fabric makes a good cradle plus the front adjuster can be moved in or out to keep things in place. On mine, the beaks and storage are the same dimensions so I can lay from either end.

All I know is I'm comfortable in it. In cold weather I tend to just hunker in with my quilts and stay on my back most of the night.

Hey, what's one more hammock in the fleet?

This is actually helpful information for me. I am 5'8", 183 pounds and I was using a Trail Lair 11', and while extremely comfortable I wondered if I could be just as comfortable in a 10'. I was unsure if it would cramp my diagonal lay, but with you being taller than me and having no trouble I feel I can get a new hexon 10' Trail Lair.

Glad to be of help. You'll be fine with the 10 footer...I sold my original 1.6 10' Trail Lair to Donk67 2 years ago and he's a little taller then me, but 40 pounds lighter and he uses the TL year round.

Since my original post, I've gotten another 10 nights or so out in my Voyageur (along with the prototype SLD Cabin ie. Hot Tent) and it's everything I've always wanted in a winter hammock.
