A good while back, there was an interesting article by Derek Hansen concerning this exact topic.

Indeed. I remember reading this now. Thanks for the link. I also like having the zipper on the foot side for occasions when I wish to lounge briefly without removing my shoes, as I can hang my feet out of the zippered egress side.

(Eventually, especially if the winterized Darien becomes a regular website offering) it might be worthwhile to add a head side/foot side zipper menu selection.)

Since we build our hammocks individually, pretty much everything is a regular website offering. I see what you mean though. That's a great suggestion and we'll add that to the site because this choice often affects things like storage pockets, colored amsteel, etc where the head end should be specified.

    There we go. All set.

I am the owner of the hammock in the pictures. 16.0 oz. with continuous loops. The fabric is the 1.6 HyperD coyote brown. The color did not match well with the bushwack wooki, but it looks great with burnt orange. Dream Hammocks do first class work.

Your hammock is gorgeous! I don't like that type of camo typically, but it looks incredible with the solid color bottom.

I bought the twin of your hammock, since I liked it so much, only a right lay since Randy had made a mistake with the first top cover and it was available. Already been out in woods once with it and it was a great winter hammock and very comfortable. Going back out in the next week or two, I'll take some pictures of it out in the woods.
