Agreed... that would be cool. Anyone other takers?

I will order the fabric this week, and should have it by Mon. or Tue. of next week. I'll be most of that week hacking and slashing up the appropriate yardage. Payment details to follow shortly.

Hey brother, just now seeing your post. Is it too late to get in on this?

Also, I plan on making a diy double layer hammock & 12' x 11 tarp. I haven't run the numbers. Any suggestion from anyone on amount needed?

    Thanks in advance!

So this is a bit out of place, but I've seen the word 'downproof' around on the site -- including in this thread -- and a quick search (both through HF and through google) didn't yield any results. What exactly does that mean?

This means that down wll not poke/ leak through the rip-stop material.

Nope, not too late. I'll PM with suggested amounts to cover those projects, then you can just post here with how much you decide you want.

Right, and just to clarify, this material is not downproof.

You can put me down for 15yds. Now that I have 2 hammocks coming I need to accessorize them

Down can work its way through Ripstop?! That's hard to believe, haha.

    Thanks for clarifying.

Wish I had some extra money to get some of this with. (But I dont! )

Good advice. I'm going to go ahead and get some surplus too. I need 19 yds but round it up if need be. Thanks a ton for helping me make my DIY affordable!

    This site rocks!
