I'm ready to buy two more Tensa4 stands but I want to upgrade to the new strap assembly for my existing stand at the same time. Could you post a list of the items one needs to upgrade to the new system? I know there's straps and toggles and whatnot and I want it ALL!!!

Are you referring to the UCR for the stand or the hammock?

I now wonder if webbing might be good for me since I get sunsets on my balcony. I'm just not interested in packing up the hammock each day. However, I will collapse it and lean it against the wall you await the end of rain. I fear that my stand's UCR will suffer from excessive UV ray and some rain damage.

I'm not really informed about its UV resistance, but the Amsteel the UCR's are made from originated with nautical applications in mind, so I highly doubt it would be harmed by water exposure.

To fully upgrade 1 stand to have all the new bits, you would need:

4x Toggle & Loop Connector Assembly
    4x 12kN Wiregate Carabiner
    1x Webbing Ridgeline with Cinch
    1x Webbing Baseline with Cinch
    2x Webbing Guyline with Cinch

Maybe this has been covered in previous posts, I apologize if it was. How do you anchor this down indoors? Being over 300lbs, can't imagine trying find 150lbs object to anchor this thing.
My worst night in a hammock was still better than my best night in a tent!!!!

My first reaction is using a door/hinge. Make sure that door opens AWAY from the stand. I have also used balcony railing bases as the strong anchor for testing the Trekking and the Solo with a 300+ load.

I played with this concept a lot for a three week kayak trip last year, where my sister was joining me and I wanted to split one stand's parts to be used between two people (not the tensa, but my A-frame DIY). There were a couple places where I knew trees would be difficult or impossible to find. My hope was to be able to use a vehicle as one side of the system, but in the end I just didn't trust the forces enough not to hurt my car.

The slippage of the feet in towards the tree is forceful and hard to combat. You need good anchoring, and that was going to be hard to depend on for the locations we were going to be in. I found the best solution for a single tree was to use the A-frame (V?-frame) end in a vertical position, anchor the "away" hammock end to the ridgeline (I used climbing rope and a prusik). The ridgeline goes over the vertical A frame to the ground and a strong ground anchor. In one case I just took the climbing rope really far out to the base of another tree. Obviously, having the room for this extra gear and weight makes a difference. Another option is to use a top rail. But then you have to somehow secure the other end of the rail at the tree. The force from hanging straight down off a rail is less than that of coming from an anchor point outside the A-frame.

I have the 12' model, though I wonder if a 13' model would cover the Tensa stand better. I kinda think my tarp is too good to replace, but if it ever got damaged then I'd consider trying out a 13' one.

The 6' ones are easily long enough and pack small enough.
Thanks, yes I think a 13’ would be perfect.

If you truly can’t find a suitable fixed indoor anchor point, and want a reliable portable solution, collapsible water containers can make good anchors. 18 gallons of water is 150lbs. The 50% body weight is a pretty reliable, generous figure. If you’re careful to keep your weight closer to the infamous taco point, and willing to YouTube any mishaps, 1/3 weight, or even less, can do.
