Dang man, you do not disappoint!
In less than half-an-hour you break out your mandolin, do a little ditty, grab the camera in the other hand and do a stupendous video...a true professional!
Seriously, thanks for that!

I got my notice that mine's ready, did the Paypal and now I just have to kick back and wait for it to show up. Wooo buddy!!
After a disastrous night in a Forest Service campground, I finally convinced by better half to let me submit my pre-order deposit. YES!! My motorcycle camping is going to greatly improve. I am really looking forward to the vastly improved possibilities this stand will bring.
LOL it does for me. I wont go into the details on this thread, but I ended up being stung by wasps, there was no running water, the toilet was out of order, and the campground 'host' was a real jerk.
I received my 'ready to ship' notice yesterday. I ended up submitting my pre-order on Saturday, so that is only a 1 day wait!
I don't know how typical that is, but I'm certainly not complaining.
The lead time has plummeted recently. We're facing a little bubble in the supply chain in the immediate next weeks that will mean a wait as before, but after this bubble we expect to have ample stock, shipping in 0-3 days from order. We will end the "deposit" model and just sell like any other in-stock product at that point. When will this be, exactly? As soon as possible, and no sooner.
What's happening is that we're transitioning from an unsustainable build-to-order-by-hand model that let us test demand and refine the product as we went (sort of like Kickstarter but without the cheesy videos and distasteful pressure to take people's money while making promises about things beyond our firm control), to a model leveraging factory production resources. The recent drop in lead times has reflected our receipt of a "sample" size batch of factory-made components, with the main production trailing a number of weeks behind.
The good news is that the "sample" batch we've been shipping for a little while, and all future product, incorporates significant improvements over the earliest product. Recipients will notice that the improvements are not documented. Yet. We are holding off on public disclosures and documentation of the improvements until we can ship immediately. No point in stoking demand until we can fulfill. If you've wondered why we haven't been promoting the stands very energetically, that's the reason: demand has outstripped supply so far with very little promotion. That's changing soon.
