Yep. I love my tarp extenders.
I'm not sure of the height I use, I just put the extenders on and use a guy line from the end of the tarp ridge-line to the ground to put the tension on the ridge-line.

NO, That adds a constraining line that isn't needed and may be harmful. (We are only talking about the Tensa4 tarp extenders here - Solo and Trekking Treez MUST be guyed to the ground)

Tensa Outdoor and the commercial packable tensahedron stand

I own a Tensa 4. I've tried to set up my rig with a warbonnet superfly using the tarp extenders. I want the tarp higher over the hammock. I could not get it to work. Pretty much gave up on it and plan to donate the tarp extensions to a raffle.

It would be really great if someone would put this issue to bed and post a video instructing the correct method of setting the tarp extenders with an 11 ft. and 12 ft. tarp.

If you really want to get rid of them, I'd be interested.

When I first tried to hook up the extenders, they were kind of loose and floppy, and it just didn't seem right. When I hooked the tarp to them, it tightened them up snug to the frame and kept them rigid. The tarp itself was like the third leg on a stool with the black cords as the other two legs. After that, I could adjust them to my liking. Keep playing with them. When it works, it's like suddenly finding that sweet spot!

Gave it another shot. I just set my hammock and superfly tarp using the tarp extenders and it works. Did not use any extra tie downs, it just works. Very happy now. Thanks again!
