Finally got a chance to try out the tarp extensions. That's my Dutchware 12 foot tarp. I just slipped the mini s-biners I have on the ends of the tarp over the ends of the poles and tightened up the pole suspension. It made the tarp lay more "naturally" and gave me a lot more headroom. Can't wait to try it out from my kayak.

Whether by design or just pleasant happenstance, I really appreciate that the carry bag is a little oversized. I have the v.2 stand with the original UCRs, a Solo conversion kit, a pair of the toggle connectors that I bought a la carte, and now the tarp extension kit and it still all fits easily within the carry bag.

All of that fits with the bulkier webbing suspension, too, though it is getting a wee bit snug! A future bag production might get a little bigger.

    Tensa Solo update ..

I bought 2x Tensa Solo Conversion Kit for my Tensa 4 stand and now I have 3 different setup options.

    a. Tensa 4 full stand
    b. Tensa Solo 2x (without trees)
    c. Tensa Solo (there's always one tree)

Most my bikecampers friends tried and loved the Tensa Solo. It's ~1.3kg light, packable, and easy to setup and with the Alamosa Anchors, brought the whole weight down to ~1kg. Some liked the orange straps, others UCR.

Thank you Tensa Crew. Now I can totally sleep off the ground while camping.

    What a great product!

Thanks Cmc4free and Sloanie for explanations and advice. I have the Tensa 4 with the UCR setup.
I haven’t set it up yet as it is still winter here.

As mentioned the tarp extensions are probably better as they may go higher . I have different hammocks and being able to go higher is probably safer for the tarp setup when using the WB Ridge Runner.
Also I not sure the REI poles set fit in the tensa bag . Will check that

    Thanks

Finally got to try my tarp extenders with my AMOK.

I like being able to get the tarp higher.

This thread is like cake on the counter when your pants are fitting too tight. I know I shouldn't... I was really good yesterday when I didn't partake.... AND the day before that... In fact, I have been so good at resisting the urge, I probably deserve some kind of reward...

I’m sure I was just looping the ucr through the holes incorrectly or something, but the “how” was not as obvious to me as a relative novice with such apparatuses. (I only ever had this issue with the ridge line... the baseline never slipped on me.) These toggles remove that variable— they’re a simpler, more idiot-proof solution for clowns like me .
I must say, I've had the same issues with the toggles on the UCRs. Mostly they work OK, but sometimes I have had them slip through and then after fixing them, slip through again. The new toggles seem MUCH better, I expect zero issues.

I'd prefer an option that's smaller than the ball opposite the toggle.

Can I just tie a knot in place of the ball?
Or use a toggle on both sides?
