I can heartily endorse the Boeshield T-9. I use it with motorcycle stuff, similar to the same bike stuff I imagine. It's fantastic.

I really want to thank @Latherdome and @raftingtigger for coordinating a repair for my Tensa4. I picked up the tarp extension and Solo conversion kit at the same time, along with boom stakes and upgraded lines. The longer boom stake really is long... but glad to have the extra hold, especially as I begin to experiment with a single pole.

Here's a picture from the event I was on my way to post-repair. A tree is off frame as the primary hard point.

Tensa Outdoor and the commercial packable tensahedron stand

The Trekking Treez have arrived a few minutes ago, thank you Cheryl!!!

I wish I could set it up right now, but it’s about to storm.

The poles feel really solid, yet very light weight. I can’t wait to try it with my Chameleon and the Haven Tent.

    ETA:

So as inspected the poles, I saw this….

Looks like the roll pin didn’t sit all the way through, but it felt solid enough. Is this still safe to use?

That is perfectly OK. It has no affect on function or strength at all.

I went on a little motorcycle trip over the President's Day weekend. I love my Tensa stand! The campground I stayed at by Lake Mead didn't allow attaching anything to trees (and there weren't enough well-spaced trees anyway), so the Tensa earned its keep again
Few things are as nice as sleeping under the stars in comfort.

It fits nicely on top of my pannier. If I use a pole in solo mode, it will easily fit inside the pannier.

Great pictures! I think people here might be sick of me saying it, but the Tensa4 stand revolutionized my motorcycle trips. I'm no longer limited to just KOA and such. I've stayed setup on "borrowed" farm land, roadside, people's backyards, actual campsites, etc, etc. in addition to the usual KOA and stuff.

Definitely! It makes it so much easier to find a site. I have even set the Tensa up in places that do have trees, just because I can put it exactly where I want it.
