Simple and elegant solution to hold the poles together. I still prefer the UCR ridgeline to hold on the V for easy hammock mount/dismount. Though I don't mind getting the new dongle.
Btw, have you tried soft-shackle and will it hold the stand and load the same? A little Lash-it lark's headed to the pin and shackle's loop to thread it through the holes?

Hope you’ve figured out the UCRs. If not, or just prefer webbing and carabiners, we’ve got both v1 and v2 kits on the parts section of our store: https://www.tensaoutdoor.com/product/parts-a-la-carte/. Webbing will be the default going forward. So far we’ve discovered that most people prefer the opposite of whichever one we bundle, but we’re resisting forcing a choice at time of purchase: makes life more complicated.
