Really interested in this as I recently have been traveling a lot and love find something to take with me to hotels and the in-laws. I sleep every night in a hammock at home as it is way more comfortable than a bed.

What’s the likelihood of a Tensahedron model that handles 2 hammocks? Or would I just need two full tensahedrons?

Seems unlikely, but I could be wrong. The spreader bar would hit the poles. Head and foot clearance for a single hanger isn't hard to achieve, but I think a second hanger is too much to ask of this design. Could probably make do with 7 poles instead of 8 to support a 2nd hanger, one pole shared, but that's not yet tested and not all that much of a material savings anyway.

If you guyed both ends (strong anchoring) to force the jaws of the flytrap wide, to get the hammock up higher, it might work clearance-wise, but this would put a lot of extra compressive force on the poles that, in addition to the weight of an extra hanger, seems likely to exceed the safety margin of the first commercial iteration we're working on. But could probably be made to work using heavy poles.

We're shooting for a spring release. That means if we ship before fall it's victory! Not much else to report. The beta test program is proceeding with no huge surprises. It works. We're dialing in details of connectors and whatnot, and trying hard to get production costs down with only the right compromises. Thanks for patience.

Progress update. The pole design has been stable for months, with all the connection holes finalized. I have just finished cutting, drilling, and deburring the first batch of commercial stands. Some of the details are still a little fluid but coming along. Our Beta testing has resulted in a few changes but nothing earth shaking. Our current build process is way faster than for the Betas, but still way too slow for the demand we anticipate. We are actively seeking improved material sources.

What does this all mean? I'm pushing for an April launch of a limited supply. Depending on the demand we can then have a better idea of what is needed to increase production AND keep them affordable.
