    So
I have had some issues this weekend with unpacking of the stand
Long story short I haven't used the stand in a few months
Went to out this weekend and unpacked it
5 out of the eight tubes were really stuck together
I was able to wiggle most free
But on 2 lower sections I had to resort to a rock on a screwdriver and almost had to give that up as to not destroy the poles
Eventually I was able to get them free
    Anyone else had this happen
    Any tips tricks?
    Thanks

Maybe a bit of silicone spray or WD-40....

Did you pack it away wet perhaps?

My thoughts at first, or stored in a humid environment. Though a nice picture it barely shows the stand. What is showing looks to be non-anodized. In humid conditions or if stored wet Aluminum Oxide can form on the surface expanding the diameters and causing the sticking issue.

The plus to all this is it is easily fixed. Dry it out good rub down with a scotch bright or some other lightly abrasive scrubbie to knock off any loose particles and coat with a light machine oil or silicone.

It's possible, I live 1/2 block from ocean and bay
The stand appears to be anodized
Think I will try the silicone spray

All the keyed-tubing stands are anodized, and should prevent corrosion. This is the first report we've heard of sticking absent an obvious cause like fouling with sand or bent tubing. A possible gotcha is if the anodizing layer is badly scratched, as by sand caught inside, that could leave areas vulnerable to corrosion. Also the tubing is anodized before it is cut and drilled, edges chamfered and polished: those worked parts are naked. Conceivably a corrosive bloom could form on them enough to make sticky? Curious whether your close inspection reveals anything that might be this.

Whenever a segment sticks, finding a like segment from a different section to use as a pusher works, tapping on something non-marring like wood if necessary.

A little lube never hurt anything, either.

Use it more often, or use silicon spray where the tubes meet.

Or a drop or two of 3-in-1 oil at the joints, among all the other options.

You will love it! It's a game changer. There's tweak factor for sure, but you can dang near hang anywhere with it! We flew to Seattle with ours and stayed two weeks there and in Montana last summer!
