I have since set the Tensa4 up with amsteel instead of the webbing and pre-set the different lengths for the base. The hammock ends up inches off the ground, but that gives better clearance UNDER the poles for my feet and head. I have a Cabo San Lucas trip in about a month and have reservations at an AirBnB. This is what I plan on taking for sleeping. I can leave it set up and pick it up and move it around. It takes up less floor space than standard set-up. Harder to get in and out - basically you are almost on the floor. Might fit quite well on the second King sized bed in the AirBnB. I'll take pictures and report on how it works and did I switch back to standard configuration.

Will I use this configuration anywhere an anchor is easy - NO.

I just returned two days ago (did not take hammock) and had the most relaxing vacation of my entire life. Enjoy and travel safe.

    Now, back to the thread.

    Hi Latherdome and Raftingtigger,

You've inspired me to attempt setting up the Tensa4 flower! Not having the experience nor the engineering minds that you have, I'll be a little challenged in this quest.

Thank you again Todd for your help, guidance and humor!

Cheryl, I'm an old Aggie from Davis from the 80's. Yeah, big hair back then. We would go get great Mexican food in Woodland back then. Ahh...I'm just aging myself.

Cheryl, have a great vacation. It sounds like it will be fun!

Planning to go to a local park to set up the flower in the coming weeks. Wish me luck.

Varies. I had jury duty last week and am moving apartments so fell behind a bit. Today i shipped orders placed 12-16 March except 1. Might be Thursday before I ship more.

I just ordered a stand with webbing. If I wanted to make my own UCRs, are there dimensions you'd recommend?

Same length as your webbing is. Or if you want fixed length baseline and ridgelines, then set it up and get it all tweaked and then make your lines to match.
