FYI, while I'm on this emergency trip I did throw in my cameras. I'll try to take and post some video. Prayers to / for my father and better yet for my mother.

Were there any problems going through security with stand packed in carry on bag? Would expect a bag full of short lengths of pipe would cause some concern.
Here’s the packed stand with a gallon of milk for scale. It’s remarkably small! I took it to my in-laws’ for the past weekend and got some very nice lounging both indoors and out with 11’ hammocks. The first setup took me probably 15-20 minutes as I figured things out, but I can have it set up in 5-10 now that I’ve done it a few times. It’s rock-solid and I love, love, love how compact it is for travel. I will probably take it on every business trip I have for the rest of time! I’ll try to get a quick video put together tomorrow with a couple of different setup methods that I’ve tried.

^^^^ True enough^^^
I collect vintage camp stoves.
I roast coffee at home.
I took mine in my checked baggage, and of course had no problem. I would be concerned about getting through security for carry on tho’.
Good luck,

About 10 years ago I was developing an electric assist bike kit. NiMH batteries. I packed dozens of cells heat-shrinked and spot-welded into columns inside segments of 4” ABS pipe. 2 wire leads coming out of it. It looked exactly like a homemade pipe bomb. And i flew with it, no problem. I headed off trouble by declaring that i had what looked like didn’t belong on a plane, and that i would explain. I partly disassembled it, and had a multimeter to show that the 30 1.2V cells produced 36V. I didn’t get jumped or cavity searched. Maybe it helps I’m not brown. Anyway, i’m not going to hesitate to bring this stand carry on. Talk to people. Show ‘em your levitation skills. This is a rare instance where branding helps: you can show TSA the website so they get that it’s a product instead of a homemade cockpit breaching device. Nothing to hide.
