Introducing Ridgeline Media Systems HangTime Hook:

Here's the lowdown: Early adopters are basically crowd funding this project! The sale of roughly finished 3D printed versions will finance the next stage in production. I haven't raised $15,000 for injection molding. I have commissioned an awesome machine shop for a mold to resin cast this product to distribute to retailers for improved finish, durability, and increased production for selling through several cottage industry retailers, (hopefully by Spring 2018) that will finance more products and eventually injection molding. By that point I hope to focus on production more, and direct sales less, but expect to handle warranties! Beyond a Facebook page and a few posts, this is currently the only resource for HangTime Hooks.

It's easy to purchase a HangTime Hook for managing a phone hands free in a hammock. It allows adjustment for level, horizontal and vertical operation, and for viewing on a diagonal lay. It receives phones that are 3.5" (90 cm) wide in various cases. These are roughly finished pre-production 3D printed units. In time I hope to raise enough capitol for injection molding, on the short term I hope to resin cast these hopefully by Spring 2018. Right now I'm producing a resilient durable PETG version with a rough finish.

You can follow the link to the Ridgeline Media System’s Page for PayPal Goods and Services links. (I left the PP links out of this post because I am not using this forum for direct sales.)

(This is an external link and not associated with Hammock Forums. Please note any color preferences and size cord to fit in PayPal Notes when ordering. There are two sizes, for smaller and larger cords, small 1.75 - 2.2 mm "Lash it and Zing it", and large 7/64" Amsteel and paracord. They are available in Black, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Orange. I do everything via PayPal, I don't sell on the forum or take Facebook payments. I try to get orders shipped next day USPS First Class. The shipping information and name that appear on the packaging is consistent with the PayPal Account not Facebook or Forum nicknames and the tracking number will be sent to the email associated with the PayPal account.)

The HangTime Hook phone holder may receive guy lines for stabilization, may be locked in place along the ridgeline by securing an elastic hair tie with a larkshead knot to the ridgeline and attaching to the lower tie down. The tie downs also take up slack in headphone cables and manage USB cords from power banks. Sewing a button to a Velcro strap allows hanging flashlights, power banks, and even drinks to the side of the HangTime Hook in the keyhole slot. The ball end is 17 mm standard so there are larger clamps, magnetic interfaces, and other aftermarket mounts that may be adapted for different devices such as tablets!

Please note with your payment what color and size preference you have I'll pack it up and send it out! If I can not send one out the next day or have your color preference I will contact you with what is currently available and ETA regarding the production of the color or size you need or a refund until it is available. I will back up the product with a replacement should it fail during reasonable use.
For best results, don't sit on it, and don't try to install or remove it from a cord that is loaded under tension. Non Toxic (food safe) Recyclable Plastic -Gluten Free! I hope the HangTime Hook serves you well, and I that you do not hesitate to contact me regarding any insights or issues! [email protected]

I do not (yet) offer such accessories, but the standard 17 mm ball will receive aftermarket mounts!

For use with Kindles and Tablets:

    Magnetic interface: https://www.amazon.com/Holder-Dashbo.../dp/B06XCRZZTW

    Clamp interface: https://www.ebay.com/itm/iPad-Mini-T...9/311534437006

For point and shoot or action cameras:

    https://www.amazon.com/Arkon-Connect.../dp/B00CMLX1M4

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Retainer-Wi...l/261080219448

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/SBH-AMPS-Ar...-/262301600252

Just be realistic regarding the mass and leverage of the device you are mounting. Remember a magnetic interface is less secure than a clamp, it may fall free if bumped, knocked, or in high winds. I don't claim any responsibility for the device, or your teeth if you knock it free from a magnet mount while sleeping under it. The nice thing about mounting a device to your ridgeline, is that the hammock is a safety net.

This device is not exclusive to Phones. Not only can you adapt different mounts for action cameras, point and shoot cameras, (cordage is a lot easier to lug into the woods for equipment reviews than a tripod) but you can also mount fans. You can also hang other things, cord locks and buttons easily toggling into the keyhole slot on the side. This allows hanging solar panels, power banks, reading glass cases, and drawstring bags behind the mounted device. Handheld radios and microphones with microphone clip mounts also attach directly. You can also hang headlamps and headphones behind your device.

Introducing Ridgeline Media Systems HangTime Hook:

I’ve had my hook for a few months, and I absolutely adore it. I use it every time I set up the hammock, and even managed to set one up above my bed to watch Netflix at night! It’s my absolute need accessory! Looking forward to seeing this take off!

Yes I'll add my shout out on the product as well. I now have 5 and they work great. They aren't the prettiest (yet) but that doesn't affect function. If you like to watch shows or read on your phone then do yourself a favor and get a couple of these. Thanks for bringing these to market Mr. Hook.

Not something I would use, but I love seeing innovation in action. Very cool.

Now if we could come up with a Warbonnet Ridgerunner solution when it clipped to the side once you are laying in the hammock. Any ideas that do not require a ridge line?
