I have had mine for awhile but didn’t get to use it much before the foul weather set in. I’m a little concerned about the roughness rubbing on the bugnet and wearing a hole. I looked into smoothing of 3D prints with acetone but these aren’t made of the material for that.

Can these things be sanded down?

A great product! Though I personally like to be disconnected when camping , it does serve well in my man cave setup. The product As mentioned is a 3D print & is very rough, but works as intended. I think once this thing gets injection molded it will have it place on ridglines around the world.

A really cool member of HF is taking a couple physical models and CAD models to China on the 27th to speak with an injection molding manufacturer he's worked with for over a decade to get hard numbers. I hope to have an investment structured around those numbers to offer to a handful of industry folks to get this rolling and available through cottage US retailers and in Canadian and UK markets initially. The finish and durability will improve so additional finish processes won't be necessary and the international consumer will not be burdened by expensive shipping costs! Please feel free to sand these to protect bug nets and high end fabrics! I have not tried tumbling these to polish, but try it and report back to me. I am not making these in large enough batches to get into a machine shop's industrial tumblers, hopefully that won't be an issue come late spring / early fall if I secure investment. There is a good deal of interest and I'm excited with the way things are looking at this point!

Regarding some bridge hammocks and Clark hammocks, there are a couple ridgeline mods like installing buttons on the inside and this:

They're slightly modified "things" protected by creative commons that I can't sell commercially, but I can donate to raffles and I also sent them to folks that have helped and inspired me. I'm thinking of putting a few up for a photo contest! I'm also making mic button hooks to adapt to eyeglasses cases, hook and loop straps, and light weight easily packable and more dynamic drink koozies! (I need to print up some vinyl decals and some koozies with my logo!)
