Thumbs up Massdrop poll for QiWiz UL titanium gear options

Mods - if this is the wrong place for this, please move as you see fit.

I have noticed that a lot of HF'ers are into Massdrop discounts. I'm trying to see if it would make sense for me to dip my toes in the stream.
To that end, there is now a poll at https://www.massdrop.com/vote/ultral...ckpacking-gear that would let you vote on what gear you might like to see a "drop" for.
Thanks for the feedback I and Massdrop will get by your participation in the poll.

Thanks for the heads up! Voted to see the stove - great-looking piece of gear.

Didn't know a titanium spatula existed, I voted for that. Now, can you make me a titanium griddle for under $50?

Voted the stove first and the trowel second

Had a chance to use your bucksaw on my last trip out... very impressive cutting power for the weight!

So . . . most griddles are relatively thick and heavy metal, made to spread heat out evenly. Aluminum griddles do this pretty well, but are still heavy. Titanium is not very good at this, as thin titanium will have a hot spot wherever the burner heat is concentrated. If you are using a wood fire or a type of canister or alcohol burner designed to spread out heat evenly, I suppose you could griddle stuff on very thin titanium. I have ti foil that is 0.10 mm thick that I use for windscreens. Trail Designs has ti foil that is a little thicker (approximately 0.12 mm last time I checked) that they use to make their Caldera cones and they also sell as foil by the foot. I could cut a foil piece as large as 24 cm (or less) by whatever length you want and bend the edges up a half-inch to give it a bit of rigidity, or you could get a piece from Trail Designs and do this yourself. I can give you a price if I know the size. To continue the conversation send me a PM or use the contact page on my site.

Hi Rob you have been a vender here as long as I have been a members.
I think this thread would be seen by more if it was in Other Venders and Services where all members not just donating can see it. What do you think?

I'm happy to have the post moved; though the poll is not for hammock-specific gear, which is why I thought this off-topic forum might be better. Mods? . . .
