Glad you had a good trip! The Slickrock Area is amazing. Spend as much time up there as I can. Heading back the week after Christmas, hopefully into some snow(staying optimistic). Sounds like the Nutbuster trail needs some TLC. It is always a scramble, but heard it had some bad blow downs now. On the dogs- Had the same thing happen to me with a bird dog on The Foothills Trail. Pretty sure it scared off a few predators while I slept that night. He let out some nice growls.

Wow, those dogs were lucky to run into you in the middle of nowhere. I'm glad it turned out that you got through to the owner and it turned out for the good. Have you heard back from the owner? That's some serious elevation you choose to do. Did you think about hitting Bob's Bald while you were right there by it? Thanks for sharing and glad the trip turn out good. That would have been a true bummer if you had to leave the dogs and no know the outcome.

Looks like a great hike with some unexpected events. I thought the morning view off the mountain with all the clouds down below was pretty cool. Great way to start the day.

Hope the dog owners rescued their mutts!

What kind of buck saw was that you were using?

I'm not sold on that smoked squid jerky lol!

I'm really glad you were able to reuinte those dogs with their owner. I'd like to give that guy a piece of my mind for leaving them out there in the first place.

Enjoyed going on your trip with you! Looks like a great place to backpack!

    Great video and trip report.
    Thanks for sharing.
Very nice looking hammock set up you have there too.
What is the chest rig/front pack you are using with the ULA pack?
Oh, good job with the pups. They are very fortunate you came along.

Yes, we were able to contact owner, he did get the dogs. I've been to Bobs bald before, too tired to go this time.

Bob Dustrude is the name of the saw.
He got mad at me for feeding them, and then he made fun of me a little for using a water filter.
