    Hello from Texas

Hello! I am Monte and I am in the Austin area. I have been lingering here on the forum and investigating some, and now that I am hooked I figure I would get involved.

I start about a year ago by getting a couple of ENO knockoffs. These were good for the lounging here and there we were doing. After many factors (Texas heat, equipment weight, etc.), I decided I was going to delve more into hammock for my camping needs. Well let's say the bug hit, and I am hooked. Works perfect for my biking and kayak camping.

So I am evolving my gear. Dutch netless, countless Dutch bling, Hammock Gear TQ and Quest hammock, Gemini CDT UQ, and well a lot more acquired along the way. Looking forward to learning more from everyone here, and hopefully be able to give back where I can.

Hello and welcome from Marietta GA. That CDT Gemini project has been on my radar. How's it working for you?

    Happy hanging!

The Gemini quilt is working great. Mine is a little alter in that I overstuffed the inner layer and altered the suspension to something closer to HG’s UQs. Had it down to 34F with both layers with no hint of cold. Probably could get close to 25F. Also looking on creating a reflective layer using a piece of emergency blanket that can be between the two layers.
