How to determine if I have a 1.1 or 1.7 Blackbird?

I am going through a bunch of gear and came across my Blackbird. It is a double layer hammock, but I am unsure on whether or not it is 1.1 or 1.7 fabric.

Is there a way to tell?

    Thanks

Probably weighing it would be a good place to start.
Someone here can probably tell you based on its weight.

Weight is 1083g. That is inside stuff sack, with whoopie slings and carabiners.

Probably need to weigh it without the suspension.

Hey all, long time reader, 1st post!

I happen to have a standard WBBB, 2014 model, double layer 1.1, whoopie slings.
In its stuff sack, it weighs: 753grams or 26.55oz.

    This helps. Thank you!

Given the proportion between 1.1 and 1.7 and the weights we both listed it ought to be a 1.7.

    Thanks again.

Afaik the 1.7 fabric never changed through the years; it has always been plain weave and until recently olive green. The 1.1 fabrics have always been ripstops in different colors (mostly different olive browns, but sometimes dark olive greens as well). If your Blackbird is plain weave, it's most certainly a 1.7. If it has ripstop squares, it's a 1.1.

I am not an expert on this but it appears to be a 1.7 based off the weight and your description of the fabric.

    Thanks for the help!

Easy - the 1.1 is a nice dark olive green leaning towards hunter green. 1.7 is baby puke after eating peas Seriously though.

Having had real life experience of your description for a 1.7 hammock, I believe it is another confirmation that a 1.7 is what I have.

    Thanks
