Ridgerunner owners- How do you pack your Ridgerunner?

Couldn’t help but laugh when I read this, the same thing happened to me just about 30 minutes ago when I got home and unpacked it.

I’m laying in it right now and I can’t believe that I didn’t get this earlier. Unbelievably comfortable! Good bye calf-ridge. Dare I say maybe even more comfortable than the amok?

It's just a long slender single sided stuff sack. Not much to it. If you're competent with a sewing machine it's not difficult at all.

Mine is a little too long as it was made to work with the first generation ridge runner poles, not the newer shorter ones.

I also removed the triangle piece and replaced it with a Dutch biner, way easier to install the spindrift this way

Yep...stock stuffsack and a little homebuilt bag for the poles when I'm hiking. For paddling or car camping trips I got the prototype Lazy Slug Tube that will swallow my TQ, UQ, pillow, and about anything else I want to cram inside. The suspension stays outside and the whole thing stays crammed a drybag until I'm ready to retire for the evening.

After dozens of outings with my RR over the last couple of yrs I've settled with simply rolling up the RR from one end to the end when I break camp (no stuff sack) and simply stuffing the RR in my backpack.
My spreader bars break into 7 total pieces and they nest down to just 4 equal length pieces, about a foot long each which fits nicely inside my pack.

I had Simply light designs make me a pole sack with reinforced bottom ( around $11 shipped) it also holds the nano light poles from my cloudburst pole mod . I removed my stock buckles at the triangle and larks headed a continuous loop in ( One grey one at the foot end and a red one at the head end) . I use dutch’s beetle buckles which I love. I store the straps and buckles in a mesh bag with my mud mat and tent stakes. The rr body itself stays in warbonnets two-sided stuff sack with the continuous loop’s poking out of each end.

Sounds similar to what I use. I also have a Simply Light Designs pole bag with reinforced bottom I use to store the spreader bars. I use Beetle Buckles and dyneema straps as well. Store those in a gallon zip loc freezer bag. Much of where I hang is coniferous forest, pine, spruce, and fir, so sappy trees. The ziploc keeps the sap off everything else. The hammock itself I stuff into the double ended stuff sack. Thought about just stuffing the hammock into the pack, but am a little concerned about the bugnet tearing on something. I guess if the netting were rolled to the inside it would be protected. I'll have to look into this more...

Here are a couple of pictures of the Arrowhead bag. At the time of this picture, the main pocket contained the poles for my Cloudburst tarp pull-out and the small pocket had about 8 aluminum tent stakes. Both pockets have a velcro enclosure. If you have any specific questions, let me know.
