    Missing review from Dutchwaregear.com

    i purchased a chameleon hammock from dutchwaregear earlier in the year and a couple of weeks ago decided to write a review on their site.

    My review was a mixture of positive and negative and I left a 3 star rating.

    My review failed to show up on the site, so i emailed customer service and was told that they had received my review but that I had failed to include a star rating (i had of course rated the stars) but that if I let them know that it would be posted. I replied that it was 3 stars but 1 week later my review was still not posted. I emailed them a second time on Friday (December 1st) and still no reply or review showing on their site.

    Has anyone else had problems posting a review (especially none 4/5 star reviews)?

    I have posted a review before on their website, and it took mine 5-7 weeks for it to show up. I think it's because they have to check it for language/etc. and take the time to put it up on the website. All of this, along with all of their other work. I'd say just give it time.

    Not sure about this instance, but generally speaking i often find that dumping your browsers cache and refreshing the page may bring about missing changes. In order to save time and resources, many sites will present a cached dynamic page to the browsers.

    thanks for the tip, I had already cleared the cache/cookies/history etc in case that was the issue but apparently not.

    What was the content of your review?
    I've not determined that I want to go to a zippered hammock, but if I do the Chameleon was under consideration...

    Dutch got really great response from the recent Black Friday sale, so much so that their normal same day to next day shipping, got stretched out a bit.
    Obviously they have been ultra busy getting orders out.

    And you expect them to drop their promptness on getting orders out, to return your second email, and get your review posted?

    Dutch posted just today regarding current wait times.

    I've been happy with the hammock itself, my only issues were some QC problems with the stitching which are mainly cosmetic.

    yes, I think a week is a reasonable amount of time to wait.
