Question on the adapters -

Have you tried hanging with and without the adapters? I have the mountainsmith poles that i plan on using with my RR, though i haven't used them for that purpose yet. I was wondering what your thoughts might be on whether they provide any benefits other than being a little cleaner (and more refined vs screw threads and a pole tip sticking out).

I think if you used the poles without adapters you would mess up the threads on the poles and you risk poking a hole through your tarp. I think that the newer model RR Spindrifts come with the little inside loops for the netting where as the older ones do not. Brandon at WB listens to his customers and I think they decided to include that as normal because folks were using safety pins and what not.
