If I ever buy a hammock instead of making one, this is the one I’m getting. It is sweet and very comfortable.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Keep in mind that this is an older version and this one in particular does not have a bugnet, as the Airship doesn't require a bugnet. According to Jeremy all specs should be be the same, maybe the newer one's come with more baffles?

Best hammock I own. Jeremy made me a left lay several years ago and it's the simples, easiest hammock I've ever used. Enjoy yours, I'm certain you will!

Jaxx...thanks for that but my question was not necessarily about the quilt compressing...but the fabric it is sewn to...is that sewn through fabric under the same tension as the layer you actually lay on? or is there built in "flex" feature for the second layer? Not sure that makes sense...thanks for your insights.

I know in talking to Jeremy myself (who was extremely friendly/helpful) that sewing a single hammock layer with the insulation directly sewn to that single layer, has failed historically...I wondered if one sew on is still concerning for this....seems like I have not heard of a failure of his product so likely a moot point...

    Thanks million!

Are you asking if the quilt has something that functions like the rubberband of a wooki?

I guess it would be . The Costoco quilt is only sewn around the edges so flex is easy along the span in the middle.

The stretch is created in other ways, but you wouldn't notice it, persay. There is a ton of math and precision taken into account with this hammock.

It is moot as the Bonefire Whisper is a double layer with the outer layer having the insulation sewn on. That's why it doesn't fail.
