I have a 3/4 WL underquilt that I use the tato ridge line quilt hook with on the foot end. I think since my hammock is on the longer end of the spectrum (110" ridge line) the hook gives some vertical lift on the shock cord which helps with gaps and looseness under my ankles. My problem was an increase of the accordion effect from the steeper angle of my quilt suspension.
Sine I have no secondarysuspension, I took the shock cord for cinching the collar and put a taughtline hitch on the suspension shock cord on my foot and head sides leaving the opposite corners free for adjustment. A little tension on the hitch keeps the quilt lightly stretched and in place for me.
I just wanted to mention this simple solution since I never thought of it before nor seen anyone else using it. Definitely more simple than sewing the secondary on!
Anybody else tried something like this? Thanks and happy hiking.
