Foot Pad/ Butt Pad/Temp Improvement?

A piece of Reflectix, anywhere from 12"×12" to 18"x18", works as a great sit pad, a windscreen, and a cold-spot barrier. And it folds up to fit in your pack. Can't tell you temp specifics but works pretty good into the 30's F.

Went on a winter trip last year with the scouts and had a roll of reflectix, so I made all the boys sit pads. First time I tried one and my only complaint was while trying to sit or kneel on the pad, it seems very slippery. Tough to stay in place. Although it is nice to pack away. I just slide that and my folded up piece of tryvek in the hydration slot in my pack.

I agree. I took a tube of silicone and added a few drops randomly along one side of the reflectix. The side with the drops becomes the bottom and really help keep the pad where you put it.
