    Vancouver Hang

Hey folks. It's getting to be that cold and bug free time of year.

I sleep the in yard here in North Van every week but it would be nice to get out, maybe up Seymour or out Squamish way. Any interest in a hang?

Also, does anyone have a Ridge Runner locally? I've always wanted to try one.

I can bring a few options for testing if people want. I've cut down to four at this point. The Bonefire Whisper (my go-to), XLC, Dutch 11 footer, and MadTree Core (which was a whim buy here a few years and a little strange).

Hi Brady , Kaz here I would love to hang with you. I am currently using a Grand trunk double w/ Hg under quilt phoenix 0 degree F with beetle buckles from dutch ware and webbing. I will hang over the easter weekend at skoockumchuck hot springs with my 2 sons My sons use a Hennessy , and the other a mini hammock from the hang out store on granville island . (he's 4) . I have an interest in trying a Wb xlc. I also hang in my backyard on occasion. Usually to test gear. Both Mt seymour and squamish sound good for a hang.Nice to see another local hanger. Take care.

Sounds like we need to organize a BC hang. My favorite place to hang is along the Skagit River near Manning Prov Park.

Hiker boy thx for chiming in, Kaz here I am relatively new to both this forum and hammock camping. Hanging near manning park sounds wonderful. Let me know if and when you organize something. So far I have only car hammock camped with my 2 sons but i would be interested to try a light small backpacking trip. Take Care nice to hear from you.

My first trip to the Skagit is usually in May just after the snow melts...I'll throw something up on here to let you know. Today is looking so nice, I think I may take my new SLD Trail Lair to the park and try it out for a bit.

    Wow.
I just found this today but have been talking to my buddy about wishing there was a local hang.
We were frustrated, given the fact that every provincial campground is now booked months in advance and forcing us to find public land to camp on.
We are looking at hanging at Buntzen Lake.
Let me know when and where you guys are going next and i'll see if we can make it.

Nice to hear from you immortalviking.
Kaz is my name from vancouver.
Ive recently been hanging/camping @ skoockumchuck hot springs.
there are camp and car fees but also very easy.
I usually car camp/ hang there with my 2 boys aged 5 and 8.
But I'm interested in trying other places too.
If you have any ideas for a group hang let me know.

I'm always interested in a group hang. I'm probably headed up to Cheakamus Lake next week for an overnighter. Lots of great spots for groups.

Hey fellow hangers. My girlfriend and I just enjoyed our first hang two weeks ago at Devil's Lake. It was great aside from the moskeeters during a late night setup. Pencil me in for a local hang.

I've been traveling lots for biz but I'm game still. I usually hike up Seymour into the backcountry or head down the Mamquam FSR. Probably looking at beginning of December for me.
