I don't have trees in my backyard so I made a turtle lady inspired stand. I am not happy with the end caps but other than that it went well.

eh, end caps look great to me
The cast metal that they use for those ends caps don't take much stress before they crack.
Have you considered drilling and installing eye bolts hanging on underside, then use carabineers to hang hammock from it?
I did that on my Alum Turtle dog stand and it worked well.
I like your stand, it looks light and simple.
Mine from all Alum poles is extremely strong, but heavy. After all done and put in bag, I think weighs about 40 lbs.
I took someone's advice on here with my TD stand....drilled a hole to fit a hitch pin through said hole....the hitch pin acts as an anchoring point to hold the whoopee slings in place...simple, cheap, effective. Good luck.

I use these. You can get them at menards for like $8 a pair and they hold up a porch swing. You may have to drill the hole a bit larger on the hinge, but they hook right on and they do not squeak because of the bearing. They have worked well for 4 years now. The picture is upside down. You hook it through the hinge and the threaded rod goes through the 1 3/8 pole. 11MpkGRWjtL.jpg
I'm using a quick link at the hinge to a soft shackle. The soft shackle attaches to an eye bolt that goes through the fence rail. On the underside of the fence rail is an eye nut which is where I attach my suspension.
