    Top Quilt Dimensions For Ridgerunner

I'm 6" 5", and a lean 200 lbs but not narrow in the shoulders . I have a ridgerunner hammock. What do you think the dimensions should be for a DIY top quilt? I'd like to cover my face if it gets cold. Does sleeping in a rectangular ridgerunner change the ideal top quilt dimensions? Thanks!

It shouldn't matter if you are in a RR or a gathered end, the dimensions should be those that are comfortable to you. I personally like my top quilts on the long side for the same reason and I get quilts that offer no taper as I have plenty of room to move. I prefer my LocoLibre quilts as George offers the no taper option. There may be others I've just not check lately.

I would look at Bic’s video of making an UQ for his Bridge. The Bic bridge I believe is a little wider then a RR. But it will give you an idea of what your options are.

The bottom insulation doesn't come up quite as high with the Ridgerunner than with a gathered end hammock. The RR also has much less fabric - great for the views, not so great for wind protection. All this means that I need a wider top quilt for the RR. I'd say, use the width that works for you on the ground.
