2nd night with the 48" wide Hudson River Quilt....

I was a little concerned that 48" was not wide enough but in the Blackbird XLC there is only so much space for a wide quilt.

You might say 48" is the perfect width for a hammock quilt.

Paired with the Greylock 3 this Hudson River quilt is the perfect 3 season setup.

i got both with an extra ounce and in SE TN this might be the perfect 4 season combo.

    Greylock 3

    56 in. (1.4 m)
    Width 42 in. (1.07 m)
    Loft 2.5 in. (7.6 cm)
Material 0.9 oz., 20D, ripstop nylon
Insulation 800 Fill Power Goose Down
    Weight
    17 oz. (0.48 kg)
    Temperature Rating
    25º-30º F (-7º C

    Hudson River - Regular Size

    • Length: 78 inches (1.98 m)
    • Width: 48 inches (1.22 m)
    • Loft: 2.5 Inches (6.4 cm)

    • Insulation: 800 fill power goose down
    • Weight: 21.5 ounces (0.61 kg)

    I am a little under 5'-11"...

Congratulations on finding the possibility perfect 4 season combo!

48” seems so narrow to me, but to put it in perspective for myself I thought about how that’s actually 4 feet. 4 feet wide, while in a hammock, seems like a fair amount of coverage. I still like a wider quilt, but I’m beginning to understand that part of why I want my quilts wider is I’m not totally trusting my underquilt. I’m asking my topquilt to tuck under me enough to overlap quite a bit. It might be unnecessary.

Concerned me as well....was wondering if I should have gone 52" with the Sierra Sniveller.

I want to try this HR as an UQ as well.

    I like having more options.
