I'm glad to see so much interest in this hang!

Hope all who want to make it are able to!

Being able to test hang Friday night is awesome. My gear is all rated for 20 degrees, too, so Friday night might be all I can do...but hopefully not! Last winter I took my 20 degree Wooki down to 18 quite comfortably, though...so my gear might take me down to 15... I’m hoping for a low 20 or higher for the weekend. One can always hope!

If anyone/everyone can bring a few logs of firewood, it would save some time and work on Friday evening. there's a great site right there at the trail head but wood is sometimes a bit scarce due to the popularity of the area. Still, some hand saws would also be helpful for Friday evening. Wood is really scarce at the top of Bell Mountain so not as likely that we'll have a fire Saturday night.

Remember you can bring all the heavy car camping stuff Friday night!

    Looking forward to it!

A year ago or longer, I purchased a Black Rock gear synthetic had for a hike I had planned in Glacier National Park. No sooner did it arrive and I misplaced it. Over the many months I'd torn my gear room apart looking for it. I'd pretty much given up on it but today I was cleaning out my dresser and removed the top drawer to see if any papers had fallen behind the drawer. Well you can guess what i found!! My brand new (with the tag) Black Rock Gear synthetic hat!!! One of those simple blessings that make the day just that much better; can't wait to wear it on our hang!!

If I make it, and I hope to, I will bring some wood.

My neighbors just brought down a tree. I'll see if he'd let me grab some.

I'll be there and bring my pack saw. I'm good to zero or slightly below, but it's already been -6 in my town near St. Louis over the holidays.

I will be there and will bring some firewood too. I just bought a rick for the house, I'll throw some in the bed of the truck.
