The answer I suppose would be yes but the liner does not hold the pack. The gear sling holds the pack and everything I have, including day clothes in a bag inside a liner inside a pack off the ground with no spiders, ticks,or snakes crawling into it.You can't out engineer the rodents but maybe they will go pick on someone else?

Lack of recon = no trees. Gonna be a cold wet night.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

Surely there were signs just screaming "turn back now!" long before this barren campsite!

To answer the OP though... if you had left over line, I suppose you could wrap it around the quilt and pad to keep the quilt from coming off the pad and getting dirty. Although, honestly I've never had much of an issue with that. Quilts are smaller than bags and mine are usually tucked under me pretty good, so if I'm on the pad, the quilt is on the pad.

Because the only ones you see are either too sketchy, too close or far apart or are preoccupied let’s just say

Just think of it as an opportunity to keep hiking.

It’s kinda cute how stubborn some of y’all are about staying off the ground

I would rather be more versatile and go with the flow of the day and not have to move mountains just to hang.

If this were a tent and you couldnt find flat ground or a spot devoid of big rocks.....what would you do? Drape the tent over you like a poncho and sit there in the rain....or keep looking for a spot to pitch your tent?
