Ok, now I know who is who. It's confusing when you have screen names and then you meet people in person! Lol! Oh, I'm going to bring an 18 pack of farm fresh eggs!!

Hmmm... Is that Birdseye red oak? Lol! Ummmm, I would like one of those somehow. As you can guess, I like curly maple. And I need a strop.

Pete I thought you weren’t going to be there so I was thinking of making chicken and dumplings. Guess I need a new plan.

Hey Pete, long time no see or hear, so glad you can make it. I don't really have anything to bring to the auction I don't think.

I will have Girl Scout cookies though if anyone is interested in buying some to help my troop we are trying to buy gear for backpacking and general camping. See you all soon.

Hey John, could I hang a poly tarp under my hammock to work as an undercover to protect my quilt? I never thought of that happening to my quilt.

Annual Nor’ Easta winter Hang. Jan. 26-28th 2018

Good evening folks. Just wanted to go over the details for the weekend. The cost for the weekend will be $15.00 per person. That covers the cost of the rental as well as the 1/2cord of hardwood for the weekend. I will be picking that up tomorrow afternoon.

The entrance for the camp is based off of RT 143 in Chesterfield Ma 01012. The picture below is as follows.
The white arrow represent the main entrance to the camp and if you use GPS that is where it would bring you.

The red arrow is the entrance for the part of camp that we are going to. Look for the Chesterfield Highway department highlighted but the Yellow arrow. There is a large yellow V plow right out front of the building near the road. We are approximately 200’ west of that building.

The green arrow represents where we are camping. When you pull in take your time because it might be icy. When you see lean to buildings (which are the first structures you will come to that is where we are camping. Pull in drop your stuff off in one of the lean to’s and the pull down near the blue arrow.

We have a large swath of land that we can use so we can all be comfortable.

Friday meals are typically on your own. So prepare for that. Saturday tends to be food cooking most of the day that is for everyone. You can chip in food for any of the meals or snacks during the day. Coffee will be going all day long so you can bring extra coffee, sugar, and creamer as you desire.

With that said all unused food, equipment, supplies (utensils, paper towels and plates...etc) need to be taken back with you, I don’t want to have to take anything back with me that I didn’t bring. So plan accordingly.

Things that we tend to be in short supply of are lanterns and fuel, tables, paper goods, trash bags, stoves, water jugs...

Things that we are never in short supply of...FOOD (never a bad thing, but don’t skimp, though look at the sheet and plan accordingly), great camaraderie, laughter, knives, and tree to hang from.

Winter presents a few challenges but unfortunately it looks like we will not have too cold of weather. However we still have to plan for frozen water, from lows during the night.

Lastly because of the camps rules, there is to be no alcohol aka adult beverages on site. Not only is this against camp rules but because of the nature of winter, slippery/icy footing, uneven ground and cold temperatures, we as a group have also discouraged it from out winter hang.

I am sure there are some things I have forgotten to add, if so please ask.

    Tim
