New Spider UHMWPE Daisy Chain webbing now available at Dutchware Gear

I have been working on this product for months. It took a months of sampling, testing, and sampling again. The wait was driving me crazy. so here are the specs...
    https://dutchwaregear.com/spider-dai...n-webbing.html
1500 pound breaking strength at the loop, 3000 overall. 1 inch wide 4.89 grams per foot. (that is a little more than a whoopie sling and 30% less than regular polyester webbing). The daisy chain loops are woven and not sewn and best of all they are 3 inch loops. We are introducing it at only $2 per foot and you can buy it by the foot. This is extremely low stretch and

This will work great as an adjustable hugger or you can use it as an all webbing suspension. Que the vid...

Hmmm, I like the idea of a simple, ultralight, adjustable hugger with a larked on whoopie! Dutch, you gotta stop innovating! Either that or start offerring an Amazon Prime like membership, so we can at least save on shipping lol.

Looking good, Dutch. I ditched whoopie slings in favor of a simple Becket hitch because I had too many frustrations with smaller trees and short hangs needing less than the minimum length of the whoopie. I do miss the simple adjustability and light weight of the whoopies, though. These may be the simple hardware free solution I was looking for.

Do you think a toggle in one of the loops would work similarly to a marlin spike for attaching a whoopie, or do you think it would be too loose?

Then you would lose the fine adjustments that the whoopies offer. Seems better just to lark the whoopie on the strap and wrap the strap around the tree and pass the whoopie thru the appropriate loop, then connect the whoopie hook to the CL. No hardware besides that little tiny whoopie hook!

Ahh yes, you'd just adjust the hugger at the tree side and let the excess hugger length dangle from there. I was still in my previous mindset where if I needed a shorter hugger I put the whoopie further up the hugger with a marlin spike.

Yeah I am trying to see the advantage over just using the Spider Web 2.0 and Spiders.

You have the option to use the whoopies or not.

If that works, then great. But I thought spider straps were too slick and floppy for those. I don’t know, but I have seen folks here say before that triglides work where buckles struggle.
