I agree and liked the Spindrift ideas. Chinook was the winner if I'm reading correctly, but lost because it's in use already? So, the search continues? It's interesting that when I worked with some Mohawks years ago, (I'm in construction trades) one gentleman told me they have no one word for woman. (vs man) Just one word more like human- but they have countless words for snow. Like in English depending on the snow itself; slush, granular, sleet, powder, freezing rain, etc. Maybe something in that vein would work
