It might be in the string of comments already, but don't forget there's no potable water at the campground. I think last year Ted mentioned that he drinks straight from the lake, but I seem to remember there was quite a bit of pollen on the surface, so even if you don't feel the need to filter it for bacteria, etc, at least bring a bandana to keep out the crunchy bits.
We have a water filter too. Fizzbee I packed the under quilt. It is short but should be ok for your dad. See you all soon.
is the lake safe for a two person fiberglass sea kayak? i know its manmade with some trees in it. do i have to worry about hitting anything under the water in shallow spots? i also have plastic kayaks.
