    Incubator Econ 10 or 20

I am going to buy my first under quilt and was wondering if I should buy a 10 degree or 20 degree quilt. I guess I would be using this from the low 20’s to 60’s. I thought when its warmer I would just adjust it with some room between the quilt and the hammock and then not need much on top. When it real cold i would wear warn base layers and quilt and extra blanket if needed.
    Which one would you buy?

    Thanks
    Scott

HG is fairly accurate w/their temp ratings for most sleepers. Unless you are a cold sleeper, go w/the 20.

Most vendors use a 20 degree quilt for their "3 season" quilts but if it were me I'd go with the 10 degree as the weight difference isn't that much and you can always get cooler but it's harder to get warmer especially when it's cold out side.

I like to go as warm as I can afford on the UQ then regulate my temperature from the top. I live in Canada where we can get some really cold temps.

I own a 20 phoenix and love it, but for the temps you describe I'd go with the 10 degree. I'm a cold sleeper though.

I like the 10˚F lower than your planning to go thing. That buffer can come in handy, especially, when the temps can be very different once you get there. Plus, UQ's are easy to vent, unlike TQ's. I'd say go for the 10˚F.
