Hi Everybody!
I have been on these forums for years, hosting group hangs and making great friends but I recently changed my HF name. For the last 7 years, most of you have known me as "CryOtheWild," a play off of the jack london book "call of the wild" and "cryo" referring to my love of camping in the coldest weather I can find. I've been hosting the WI Frozen Butt Hang for 7 years among other events and love meeting new people.
I decided to finally change my name on HF because I do business as "Nickofthewoods" and much of my work involves hammock camping.
A bit about myself... I'm a NREMT, WEMT, and owner of NOW Outdoors LLC. I'm also faculty for UW-Milwaukee's Wilderness Adventure Courses and teach for the SOLO School of Wilderness Medicine. Since 2009, I've been teaching and guiding wilderness adventure, emergency readiness, and survival programs throughout the Great Lakes region and abroad. In addition to running the largest outdoor themed meetup group in Wisconsin, I also volunteer as the Regional Coordinator for the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education.
It's great to be here and many thanks to all of the amazing people who have helped me along the way and come into my life through this forum.
