    Hanging with Chesapeake.

Nice place to hang right on the water. Dropped down to 44 according to the thermometer. The BBB down throw underquilt did the job. I got cbs only because I slid toward my feet. The tirtledog stand was stable for a short nap then I pulled it over when I tried to put up the tarp. So I just hung from the handy poles onsite. Coffee in the hammock with a sunrise.

those poles sure are nice! I'll be out on that river come November for Goose Hunting. Got a few on early season in September. Nice view of Red Point across the way there.

We just got back from a 4.8 mile hike on the Mason Dixon trail. Put some boots into tramping down some undergrowth. Looking forward to coming back to do some more trail clearing. Put a few casts out in the water but no nibbles.

Sure is, I'm right across in Carpenters point. Anytime you wanna hang, lemme know. My beach is right next to this neighborhood beach so I'm either down here or out in my yard all year. MDcrab and I had a good hike today. Last night was beautiful, nice and crisp with tons of stars and a clear sky..... AND NO GEESE OR STALLION MALLARDS HONKING AND QUACKING ALL NIGHT!!!.....well, not yet anyway. They've already started to come back to set up their winter home in front of my house. All 500 of them lol. Take as many of them *** you want!!!!

I had to use my circus tent stakes when I was there last month. It is very breezy but the long stakes kept my tato stand secure.

But then my tarp tie outs kept pulling out, so I used my dutch ovens. Always camp with cast iron, just in case you need heavy pots. Hahahaha

Today's pics... Gorgeous sunrise. The pics don't do it justice.

I just used my 9" aluminum y stakes. They held well. Use an adjustable guy line knot to tighten them down with hair bands at the tarp for shock cordage.

Had a great weekend hanging out with MDcrab on the beach. Awesome weather hanging and perfect for a hike. Here's my pics from this mornings breakfast from the hammock. In the last pic you can see Venus at the top kinda over the boat. Gorgeous.
