As you can see, with long suspensions the untethered leg moves a lot when the hammock is loaded. This is because the weight of the legs pulls the suspension flat when there is nothing in the hammock, and when you get in the suspension takes up its angle (30 degrees) and the untethered leg has to rise.
The smaller the suspension, the less pronounced this effect is. This will become very important whe you try to rig a tarp.
No sound? All my testing has featured minimum suspension so I've not experienced the wild pole movement you've seen. So: set ridgeline to .83 hammock length, and connect as direct as possible to apexes.

Have yet to work out minimum pole lengths for given hammock length that support reasonable seat height with poles reliably clearing shoulders/feet laying diagonal.

Yes, the base strap delineates the safe "stand here" area from "nope."

Off to pick up some poles in the rain before work on motorscooter...

This idea is amazing. Thanks for sharing it and thanks to Gadget for giving us a cheap way to fiddle around with the concept until you get things set up. Using a bridge, I think I'll have to stick with the Tato, which is awesome even if heavy, but I need something for my son and can't blow another $300+ at this point.
But for the grace of God, there, I go...

wind was wild, the mic noise was annoying.

I'd be out there now, working out pole lengths empirically, but as it's blowing a hoolie and persisting down, I will resist the temptation.
I should really be focussing elsewhere... got two days of water rescue training, then flying straight out to Sudan for two weeks.

Gadget, my testing is identical to what you have found.
I'm heavier at 310# and my stand is made of 2 x 4's for strength. I started with a non RL hammock and the ride was 'entertaining".
As long as I am on the good (low) side of the center ground strap, it is stable, albeit a bit wonky. That'll be something for people to get used to.?.
The hammock RL is a a crucial piece to add more stability and reduces the movement on the low side. Again, same results as you, so I wont bore the crowd with my video.lol.
Watching your vids have shed some light on the stand.
The hammock and RL form a triangle, of sorts, inside the stand's larger triangle.

Do you have a scale to measure the force on the "lorry" side of your stand?

I don't see the issue using a bridge. Pole interference with the spreaders? Would like to understand it. As for budget, how deep are you in Gadget, for those 4 poles and hinges? Not $300! Run some cable through steel fence poles: done! :-)

I do, but time and weather are against me.
The loads are never going to be very high tho. The variables affecting it are going to be -
The angle of the top line (SRL)
and your position in the hammock.

Well, I figured the levelness of the bridge would cause an issue since it seems based around the foot end being higher with the GE Hammock. I guess this could be easily overcome with a longer suspension on one end? My wife says I have an uncanny ability to miss the obvious

I think that's correct: fiddle with the suspension or use asymmetric poles. Or just guy both ends if an option. All this "one side only" helps demonstrate working principles and possibilities, but if guying both ends makes life easy, it's easy. Or hang your pack off the head end: instant strategic disequilibrium, also keeping your pack off the ground.

Fantastic testing there Gadget! If you got any higher, you would need to somersault into it from a unicycle, LOL.

So, from your testing, we need an 83% ridgeline. And I'm thinking short suspension is OK if the poles are shortened also to give an 18" (half meter) sitting height.

Raftingtigger sends pics with 7.5' lighter duty poles, 11' hammock (too short) and hammock chair: fine.
