Had this pic pop up on my Facebook memories, from five years ago,

    So close, but no cigar!

So I gave the garden stakes a try.

They seemed pretty stiff until I had the structure built and all the sudden everything felt wobbly. I carefully put my weight in the hammock and instant failure!

Fortunately no animals were harmed in this testing.

Now I want to try and find a source for fiberglass tree stakes, but I'm not sure they will be any lighter than emt conduit.

Thanks for being the guinea pig & posting your results! I'm glad no one was harmed

Here are some photos of my first Tensahedron build. I used cedar poles that I harvested from my two acre forest. I stripped the bark and sanded down the stubs where the branches were cut. I then applied three coats of Tung Oil finish. I used hardware from Lowes to attach the poles together. Not the most portable stand, but it's easy to toss into my truck!

Since I can't carry my cedar pole tensahedron stand (see my post above) with me when I go motorcycle camping, I purchased a Tensa4 from Tensaoutdoor.com (Raftingtigger and Latherdome). I took it to Standing Stone State Park in Tennessee this weekend and tried it out. Packs easy on the motorcycle and worked great! Here are a couple shots of my camp site setup...

Can you tell me how far apart the top sections are when hanging in the Draumr? I have a 90deg hammock tent and want to make sure the tarp will work.

Best photos I've seen of a transverse hammock in a tensahedron:
