What length ridgeline do you recommend for the Tensa poles? I'm thinking about making an ajustable Zing-it line for holding the top together (using 8' poles and 10' & 11' hammocks). From earlier comments it sounds like about 11' at the top and ~5' at the base strap might work...?

About right. Make them adjustable, you will want to tweak the distances for your preferences.

I just use the ridgeline I use anywhere else. Mines fixed at around 83%

So about how long should each suspension line be for that ideal 11' hammock with 8' long poles, spaced 5' apart?

Easiest way is to suspend the hammock ends close to the apexes, use the ridgeline (I use 83% of hammock length) to keep the hang angle right, and adjust the base spread for your desired sit height. There are no right or wrong answers with this type of stand. Lots of ways to get to the same result.

Would Zing-it work as a Tensa ridgeline if my hammock has an Amsteel ridgeline?

I think there is some confusion of using a separate ridgeline. If you currently have a ridgeline on your hammock just hang your hammock on the stand and everything will work fine.

Wouldn't it be easier to set up the Tensa with it's own SRL prior to hooking up the hammock? I know that the extra SRL isn't necessary, but wouldn't it make things just a little easier while setting up the Tensa?
