I certainly appreciate your concern, we should be prepared, we have enough down to stuff a horse. All of our quilts are zero degree from UGQ or warbonnet. and warm clothes are mountaineering grade.
This will be our first winter in hammocks, so we are learning as we go, and having a great time doing it. We will be going out several times before this hang and hope to get a feel for what we can expect.

If I find out I need something I will let you know, thanks for the offer.

If things go really bad, the car is only a short walk away.

Ok, so I am also new to winter camping and am definitely interested in giving the beginner weekend a shot? Is that still happening? I got WB 0F and 20F Top and Bottom Quilts and would imagine that stacking them would probably (hopefully) work if temps got really low?!

0° & 20° will get you WAY, WAY below zero! Stacked correctly, with a loose fitting base layer, you'll be just fine.

Welcome All... I find that waiting is difficult. Da Shack is calling, and I must go! Gives wifey time to decorate for Christmas.

Here is a link to the Base Camp address. I think there is an issue with the link on the first post. Base Camp
Just drive to the end of the .7 mile driveway and park by the building. Try not to block the doors if you can.

I'll be up at the FBH site this weekend for an overnighter with 25 students and meetup members building the new cook rig and having an all around great time in the woods. Several of you will be there too. It's going to be great!
