Unread posts -- Go directly to unread posts

If I click on the link in the email that tells me I have an unread post....
I go directly to the 1st unread post.
At the end of that link is:
    "?goto=newpost"

If I click on the thread in my list of unread posts in "Settings" I have to chose which page to go to. But, I do not go to the 1st unread thread.
I do not have access to my email when on the forum with my phone.

    In this thread:

If you keep scrolling past the actual list of new posts, it then lists all the threads with posts you haven't read. Clicking the little () button beside each one will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

The only way that the forum doesn't do that is if you use the 'Mark All as Read' function, which resets your New Posts view.

Bacon notwithstanding, the forum already has this functionality.
That button does not seem to exist any longer. Is there another way?

Why not do it the easy way and simply come to the forums and select the New Posts link?

I have not tried that. Does that take me to unread posts in my subscribed threads?

But, then I have to scroll down to my thread. Not what i call easy.

    The title.
Go directly to the unread posts in a thread.

Just like the link I get in an email.

Like it was said in 2011.
Clicking the little () button beside each one will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

In the email it sends me this:

    Dear snwcmpr,

Xxxxxx has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Rename the Swift hammock - in the Dutchware forum of Hammock Forums - Elevate Your Perspective.

    This thread is located at:
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...-Swift-hammock?goto=newpost
    ****************

Note the "Go To New Post"

I would like that functionality on the forum website, and not just from the email.

Thanks for clarifying what you are looking for.
if you are looking at a list of threads (either from New Posts or Todays Posts), an icon will appear to the left of the thread title if there has been a new post since you visited last. You can click on that icon & it will take you to where you left off (the first unread post).
If there is no icon next to the thread name, that means there are no new posts.

Yeah, I really thought I had looked.
But, one cannot see until one can see.

    I see it now.
    Thank you.
