    Dually knotty mod

Just curious if the dually knotty mod is a worth while investment. I have a wide 11 foot Dutch hammock I am thinking about sending back to have modified.

If you're careful you can easily do it yourself. All of our netless hammocks have dual knotty's at the foot end. Usually we only snug up the foot side anyway, or very very little on the head side. One way to look at it, since there is no harm in having the option to use them, we prefer having them than not, but they don't make our live's complete either.

I just had this done. I had a poly d that's a couple years old that I bought before they offered to do the mod. Quick and painless. Got it back to me in less than a week. No more floppy fabric. I like it even more now. FWIW. YMMV.

I think I may take the plunge. If there is any wind the fabric tends to flop aroundand becomes annoying. I guess I should get boths end done or is it more of a benefit to just get the foot side done.?

If you're going through the trouble of sending it in might as well get both done. I have dual knottys on my SLD hammock. I don't use them much at all, but there's no harm in having them and it's nice to have the option. I really don't see a downside to having them. If you don't want to use them you just don't use them and it performs as if they aren't there.

I have double on the head and single on the foot. Might add the second foot one, just because.

What if you guys open the continuous loop up (no lark) and shorten the ridgeline? Does that help?

Good question Handy Randy - anyone experimented with that?
