Hi all! Thanks for all the interesting and educational posts! Only been hanging since this summer, so it's all new to me. Trying to be a thrifty hanger as an example to my 11yo son and his boy scout troop. I am in central VA ("suburb" of Richmond) but am originally from rural Iowa. Always looking forward to my next hang (first week of December, unless I experiment in the back yard to dial in my "cold weather" setup!)
Welcome from Northern Arkansas! I started out with cheaper gear too. It serves it's purpose well, but I've also found an investment in quality gear can pay off in other ways! Best of luck and happy hanging!

Thanks Bob for the hello & invite! My son's scout troop (myself included) were at Prince William earlier this year, but I was still ground-bound at that point. Should be good hanging for you though from what I remember. My excursions (outside of my own back yard) are limited to what his troop does... since I have two younger boys who I should pay some attention to too.
