Minor Design Update for Burrow and Burrow Econ

    Minor Design Update:
Good morning everyone! We wanted to keep everyone informed that we are no longer installing Beastee D-Rings on our Burrow and Burrow Econ quilts in an effort to conserve weight and production costs. We've had a lot of folks request that we leave these off their quilts, thus the design change. There will still be grosgrain loops for attaching to a pad, should you need to. We love listening to our customer feedback, so please let us know what you think!

    Very disappointing...
I hate it when people accuse me of lolly gagging when I'm clearly dilly dallying...

The grosgrain loops are still there, so no big deal IMO.

If you are talking about the plastic rings along the edges on both sides of the quilt? I like them. IMHO, if you don't want them you can cut them off. I think they are convenient with mitten hooks when using with a pad on the ground whether you are hooking up or unhooking...using just the cosgrain loops are way more clunky as in JRB quilts...I think you should keep them...or keep them on the higher priced Burrow and leave them as an option on the Econ...I have an Econ Burrow O degree wide on order so I hope it has the hooks attached to it. I use your quilts instead of sleeping bags on the ground, or in cots all the time. Just my .02...

I was looking at yours and EE stuff and went with you because you had them. Probably not everyone's thought process though.

I didn't even notice these on my burrow glad you guys are looking at keeping weight to a minimum for folks who may not need these on their quilts.

I used these at first to lace down the quilt to the pad. However, since then I have found that I do just as well with the quilt draped over me and not attached in any way.

I don't use the d-rings on my Burrow. Would be just as happy to have only loops there.

They weigh nothing, they are unobtrusive yet they provide a functionality that many other vendors don't provide. It is these small details that make Hammock gear quilts superior to many others. Just like the suspension on their under quilts...brilliant! small details count...

FWIW, I use them most often when I use my Helinox cot with a quilt on top. I put my Neos pad in the footbox and then I run the HG ground bungies under the cot in the lower section...I keep the upper section open to wrap around my shoulders.

I don't think you fix something that is not broken...Like I said I ordered a Burrow a few weeks ago and the d rings and the older version plastic rings are one of the reasons I chose HG over another vendor...just saying...
