I just experienced a windy night with no hammock sock.
The evening was calm, but the wind came during the night.
Every part of my body was fine, actually, except my head, so I am thinking I didn't need a sock at all that night, since the wind did not get through my quilts, and the temperature was fairly warm, but only some sort of Argon hood, or something as light, breathable and windproof.
I was already wearing a hood from my base layer + a beenie on top of it, but I ended up with my jeens on my head, that night, as it was the only thing that would solve the issue and still let me breathe. It worked perfectly well I should say, and since I was all alone, I avoided the general laughter in the morning, but I am thinking there should exist a hood weighting next to nothing for that very purpose.
Anyone knows about anything like that or has other tricks in such a situation ?
PS : Oh, I should add that I am very bad at sewing anything.
