Well done Warbonnetguy! I am a WBBB fan (own 3) but I have to tell you, the features and flexibility of your latest XLC definitely have me tempted to break the checkbook back out! Great job! G-Nut.

Yea I lost that argument to myself and it showed up at my door with a wookie last week. I'm pretty impressed with it and the wookie.

Did the hammock body change much from the previous version to the new version....or was it just the net/covers that changed? I'm just curious to see how the lay compares. I'm very comfortable and happy in my (previous version) XLC. But, I really like the new features on the current version. Anybody have comparisons??

The lay has never changed and should not have changed with this version either, because the hammock body is still the same rectangle and the ridgeline length is the same as well. However, the new "lightweight double layer" version is made from different fabrics than the old 1.1 DL. This means that it is less stretchy. All other versions are still made with the same fabrics as before.

Fantastic innovation. My XLC has seen me through many a night although the last few years it has been pirated by my wife. This looks like a solid upgrade!

Thank you!! That's very good to know.

Im tempted by the "lightweight" double layer XLC.
Currently ive a single layer chameleon which is great, but a little bit less comfy than my "heavy duty" el cheapo 11ft amazon hammock. I'm thinking the double layer would be closer to that, without being much bulkier.. wondering...
