Got a box from DWG, including some hexon. I'm bringing that and my UQ to the alteration shop nearby to get some end channels added to the UQ and have a few stuff sacks made.

I unwrapped my brand new Chameleon i won over the weekend. So windy today though to hang it will be rough. But calling for Sun all week, so maybe tomorrow i will get it hung.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".
I permethrined it...yes, as a verb
I made a set of stuff sacks for both my and my son's hammocks...
or I suppose oversized bishop bag might be a more accurate name.
There is an external pocket at the bottom for my foot end carabiner, and the bags are large enough to accomodate:
Hammock, Bug Net, Underquilt and suspension lines.
I thought that it would make for quicker setup/teardown when we go camping with the scout troop.
And our external frame packs were designed to strap on a sleeping bag (bottom) and tent (top).
This allows our full hammock gear to easily strap onto the top.
We'll give them a try for our next outing.
If they work well, I will likely order some silnylon and remake them in that.
(This was a draft version, and I used some scrap taffeta that I picked up at $0.10 a yard.)
OK, this morning before work, I finished the tie-outs on my HH Hex with red reflective Lawson cord. I left about a 6" diameter loop of 1/16" shock cord on each tie out. I also added the Tarp Flyz... but I'm thinking some Zing-It or something would make for better main lines, so I may get some of that from Dutch. Order #4? It's a good thing shipping is cheap...

Changing tarp tie outs to Dutch Hook worms.
I will like having the lines stay with the stakes.
I added DIY shock cord tensioners to my Hex fly using this great tutorial.
I'm still wanting to replace the main lines (non... C... RL?) with something, because the HH line is fraying in spots. Will I get to use my tarp before I start messing with it again?
looking forward to 2QZQ sending me my sewn on door /center pole mod on my mac cat ultra tarp. Meanwhile, I last hung tarpless in my back yard last weekend. The weather was perfect. No humidity and 40ish at night. Zero dew! Real Hangers do it Tarpless!
Made brand new CL's and whoopies for my home tablecloth hammock. 1/8" amsteel. Made a new structural ridgeline out of 1.75 Zing-it. Don't think I buried enough cause it wont lock(stay locked).
I moved my hammock stand from my deck to my bedroom and in the process I somehow managed to pull the adjustable loop of one the whoopie slings into itself (no bead or stopper) rendering it useless. Fortunately I connect my bridge hammock to the stand via the dog bones. Unfortunately I do occasionally bring that hammock on the trail and I don't have enough amsteel on hand to make a new sling.
