Mt Washington 3 or Greylock 3? (Chattanooga - East TN)

I'm sceered to go any hotter in the South.

I know someone has already gone through this exercise.

How do these sleep in the South East (East TN)? 4 seasons.

Mt Washington 3 and the Greylock 3

I am going to pair one of these with

a Hudson River Quilt as TQ (plus fleece liner).

You'll get lots of opinions, but I'm a full length guy all the way. I'd say Mount Washington 3.

How tall are you? The reason I ask is that I'm 6'1" and my 56" Habanero from LL covers my shoulders and goes all the way down past my calves. Since I use a pillow, I have no need for the quilt to cover my head. And I also use a pad under my feet. Even if my quilt covered my feet, I would still use the pad- as I find it more comfortable for my heels. For these reasons, the 3/4 length quilt is perfect for me. I find that laying diagonally across my underquilt actually gives me a little more coverage than the stated quilt length- as I'm laying from corner to opposite corner, and not end-to-end.

Everyone has their preferences; so there really is no right or wrong choice here. Just two great options to hem and haw over.

    5'-10.75"

Good point on using the pad regardless. I hadn't thought of that.

My first UQ was a Greylock 3. I absolutely loved it, until it got into the 20's. I tried to use a foot pad but couldn't keep it in place. After some really cold feet, I've been full length except for summer.

I was thinking (hoping) that a foot pad and a JRB fleece liner inside a Hudson River would solve that.

I use my small sit pad inside my TQ and it stays in place and never gets condensation.

You are pretty close on the map as far as temps go.

However, the Gator line starts in Decatur, Alabama
